Challenge
Clemson University sought to replace the aging 30+-year-old lighting system at its soccer facility, citing concerns with outdated HID fixtures and inadequate light levels. In exploring LED alternatives, the university evaluated multiple solutions and was particularly interested in incorporating special effects lighting to enhance the experience for players and fans. Equally important was ensuring the new system provided superior glare and spill control.
Solution
Through a private procurement process, Clemson selected PSL for its proven ability to deliver superior lighting solutions at an affordable cost. At Riggs Field, the university will install PSL’s Remote Pro™ system along with the Control Pro™ Plus entertainment package. PSL’s patented stanchion design enables retrofitting to existing steel poles without special fabrication, while the Control Pro™ system provides full smartphone-based operation.
